A –Midwives and doctors are both autonomous health care providers who take care of the woman and baby’s well-being through pregnancy, labour & delivery, and after the birth. Generally, midwives work in small teams, and appointments last 30-45 mins, which gives you the opportunity to ask lots of questions and get to know the person who will attend you in labour. Doulas are non-medical support people who help the parents by providing information, support, and suggestions for coping with labour. In addition to having a doula, you will have either a midwife or doctor to handle the medical aspects of your care.
